JOSEPH INTERPRETS PHAROAH'S DREAM
Genesis 41:1-22
After two full years, Pharaoh dreamed a dream: As he stood by the Nile, 2 seven cows came up out of the river, healthy and fat, and they were eating among the reeds. 3 After them, came seven other cows, nasty and skinny, out of the Nile and stood next to the first seven on the riverbank. 4 And the nasty cows ate up the seven healthy cows. Then Pharaoh woke up....

JOSEPH IN PRISON
Joseph in Prison
19 When Potiphar heard the story his wife told him, saying, “Look what your slave did to me,” he was very angry. 20 So he put Joseph in prison, the place where the king’s prisoners were locked up.While Joseph was there in the prison, 21 the Lord protected him; he showed him kindness and made the prison warden like him. 22 So the warden put Joseph in charge of all the other prisoners, and he was made responsible for all that happened there. 23 The warden had total confidence in Joseph’s care, because the Lord was with Joseph and let him succeed in all he did.

POTIPHAR'S WIFE ACCUSES JOSEPH
Genesis 39 Joseph and Potiphar's Wife
11 And it came to pass about this time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there was none of the men of the house there within.
12 And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out.
13 And it came to pass, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand, and was fled forth,
14 That she called the men of her house, and spake unto them, saying, See, he hath brought in an Hebrew unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice:
15 And it came to pass, when he heard that I lifted up my voice and cried, that he left his garment with me, and fled, and got him out.
16 And she laid up his garment by her, until his lord came home......

JOSEPH IS SOLD BY HIS BROTHERS
GENESIS 37
24 And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it.
25 And they sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmeelites came from Gilead with their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry it down to Egypt.
26 And Judah said to his brothers, What profit is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood?
27 Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he is our brother and our flesh. And his brothers were content.
28 Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: who brought Joseph into Egypt.

JACOB AND ESAU
Genesis 25
Esau sells his birthright for a pot of stew
29 On a certain day Jacob was cooking some stew, Esau, his elder twin brother, came in from the open country after hunting, he was very hungry. 30 He said to Jacob, “Quick, give me some of your stew! I’m starving!” (That is why he was also called Edom.)
31 Jacob said, "First sell me your birthright"
32 "I am almost dead" said Esau, "what good is my birthright now."
33 "Swear to me first." said Jacob. So Esau swore an oath and sold his birthright.
34 Jacob then gave him some bread and stew, which he ate and left.
Esau had despised his birthright as the elder brother.

JACOB'S LADDER
Genesis 28
10 Jacob departed for Harran. 11He rested for the night. Using a stone as a pillow, he lay down to sleep.
12 In a dream, he saw a stairway stretching from the earth to heaven, and the angels of God were going up and down it. 13 God stood above it and he said: “I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you sleep. 14 Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out all over. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring. 15 I am with you and will protect you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will stay with you until I have done what I have promised.”

ISAAC OBEYS GOD
Genesis 26
Genesis 26
.3 God said, stay here and I will be with you and bless you, for I will give you and your offspring
all these countries and will keep my oath which I swore to Abraham your father
4 and I will make your decendants as numerous as the stars of heaven, and will give them all these
countries, and in your decendants, will all the nations of the earth be blessed:
5 Because Abraham obeyed my voice, kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
6 And Isaac lived in Gerar:
