Adam and Eve - The Fall of Man
1 Now the snake was craftiest animal the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any of the garden's trees’?”
2 She replied, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God said, ‘Not to eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and not to touch it, or we would die.’”
4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent replied. 5 “For God knows that when you eat from it you will become wise, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was edible and looked good, and also great for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave Adam some, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then they both became wise, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves.

THE GOLDEN CALF

EXODUS 32:1-35

2 Aaron answered, “Remove the gold earrings that your wives, your sons and your daughters are wearing, and bring them to me.” 3 So all the people gave their earrings to Aaron. 4 He took what they gave him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioned it with a tool. Then they said, “These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.” 5 Aaron then built an altar in front of the calf and proclaimed, “Tomorrow there will be a festival to the LORD.” 6 So the next day the people got up early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings. Later on they sat down to eat and drink and rose to indulge in revelry.

THE OLD TESTAMENT - WHAT IS IT?

The Old Testament is the testimony of life before the birth of Jesus Christ,

man was under the law. This time is reflected in the the Bible books of

Genesis through Malachi.

JESUS LEFT A LEGACY BEHIND

ACTS 2

1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared to them cloven tongues like tongues of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit spoke through them.

WHY DID THE VEIL OF THE TEMPLE SPLIT?

Mark 15 tells us about the death of Jesus Christ. Jesus was crucified. His death was significant because it opened the Way for sinners to come to God. (this was indicated by the Veil splitting.)

The Veil of the Temple
Following the death of Jesus Christ, the Veil of the temple was split in two.
Mark 15 34And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
35And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calleth Elias.
36And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down.
37And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.
38And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.

JESUS IS THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE

The Bible tells us that "Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life"

John 14:5-7 (King James Version) 5Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
