THE TOWER OF BABEL
THE TOWER OF BABEL
Genesis Chapter 11
1The whole earth spoke one language. So the people to avoid
being scattered abroad, wanted to make a city with a tall
tower reaching up to heaven. When the LORD saw what
they were building, He said that these people with a common
language, nothing will keep them from doing anything they
imagine, so let us go down and confound their language
so that they no longer understand each other.
Then the Lord scattered them abroad and they stopped
building the city.
9 The place was called BABEL because that is where
the Lord stopped man from their plans and made them
all speak different languages.

NOAH'S ARK
Genesis Chapters 6 to 8
Noah's Ark
Genesis 6
5 God saw how wicked the human race had become. and their thoughts were only evil. 6 The LORD regretted that he had made human beings. 7 So the LORD said, “I will wipe out the human race I have created and the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground, for I regret making them.” 8 But God wanted to save Noah.
11 God felt the whole world was corrupt and violent. 12 He saw how all had corrupted
their ways. 13 So He told Noah that because the people had filled the world with violence
He would destroy the earth and all of them 14 then He told Noah to make an ark of cypress
wood with rooms in it, the ark to have pitch on the inside and outside.

CAIN AND ABEL
Cain and Abel GENESIS 4
1-2 Adam and Eve had two sons Cain and Abel.
Now Abel raised livestock, and Cain worked the land. 3 Cain brought some produce as an offering to the LORD. 4 And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions of the firstborn of his livestock. The LORD favored on Abel's offering, 5 but not Cain's. So Cain was very angry, and he was sad.
6 Then the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is you sad? 7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to possess you, but you must control it.”
8 Then Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out to the field.” While they were out there, Cain attacked Abel and killed him.

GOD RAISES UP A MIGHTY PROPHET
EXODUS Chapter 2 - The Birth of the Prophet Moses
1And a man of the tribe of Levi took a wife from the same tribe.
2And the woman conceived, and had a son: and when she saw him that he was a lovely child, she hid him for three months.
3And when she could not longer hide him, she made an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child in it; and she laid it in the reeds on the river's bank.
4And his sister stood afar off, to find out what would be done to him.
5And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along the river's bank; and when she saw the ark among the reeds, she sent her maid to fetch it.
6And when she opened it, she saw the child: and, the baby wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children.

ADAM AND EVE - The Fall of Man
Genesis Chapter 3
Adam and Eve - The Fall of Man
1 Now the snake was craftiest animal the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any of the garden's trees’?”
2 She replied, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God said, ‘Not to eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and not to touch it, or we would die.’”
4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent replied. 5 “For God knows that when you eat from it you will become wise, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was edible and looked good, and also great for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave Adam some, who was with her, and he ate it. 7 Then they both became wise, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together to cover themselves.

THE GOLDEN CALF
2 Aaron answered, “Remove the gold earrings that your wives, your sons and your daughters are wearing, and bring them to me.” 3 So all the people gave their earrings to Aaron. 4 He took what they gave him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioned it with a tool. Then they said, “These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.” 5 Aaron then built an altar in front of the calf and proclaimed, “Tomorrow there will be a festival to the LORD.” 6 So the next day the people got up early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings. Later on they sat down to eat and drink and rose to indulge in revelry.
