1 THESS 4 - 13But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.18Wherefore comfort one another with these words. - Also read 1 Corinth 15:51-53
REPENTANCE
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
The bible is divided into the old and new testament.
The stories prior were from the old testament.
The stories to follow will be from the new testament.
The bible tells us about the Samaritan woman
Jesus meets at the well.he talks to her about
the water of life ( salvation).
15 The Jordan floods during harvest. When the feet of the priests who carried the ark touched the edge of the Jordan,16 the
water stopped flowing. It piled in a heap a long way away, at Adam
near Zarethan and completely cut off the water flowing to the Dead Sea.
They crossed over opposite Jericho.17 Meanwhile,
the priests carrying the ark of the covenant of the God stopped in the
middle of the Jordan on dry ground, till all Israel passed by, crossing
on dry ground.
RUTH Ch 1 14 And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clung to her. 15 And she said, Behold, your sister in law has gone back to her people, and to her gods: do as your sister in law has done, 16 And
Ruth said, Do not urge me to leave you, or to return from following
after you: for wherever you go, I will go; and where you lodge, I
will lodge: your people shall be my people, and your God my God: 17 Where you die, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me. 18 When she saw that she was determined to go with her, she stopped speaking to her. 19 So
they traveled together until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when
they came to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and
they said, Is this Naomi?
4 A wife of the prophets companions cried out to Elisha, “Your helper my husband is dead, and you know he honored the Lord. However now his lender is coming to make my two boys his slaves.”
2 Elisha replied to her, “You want help? Then tell me, what do you have in your house?” “I have nothing there at all,” she said, “only a small jar of olive oil.” 3 Elisha said, “Go ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Do not ask for just a few.4 Then
go inside with your sons. Pour oil into the jars, and put the full ones aside.” 5 She did as she was told. 6 When the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another.” But he replied, “There is none left.” Then the oil stopped flowing. 7 She went and told Elisha, the man of God, who said, “Sell the oil and pay your debts. You all can live on what is left.”
13 Israel disobeyed God, so the Lord let the Philistines oppress them for forty years.
2 Manoah, from the clan of the Danites, had a wife who was childless.3 God's angel said to her, “You are barren, but you will become pregnant and have a son.4 Do not drink wine or alcoholic drink and eat no unclean thing.5 You will have a son whose head is never to be shaven because the boy is to be a Nazirite, dedicated to God from the womb. He will be responsible for delivering Israel from the Philistines.”
Joshua the son of Nun sent out 2 spies, they went to Jericho. They stayed at Rahab the
harlot's house.
2 The king of Jericho, was told about the Israelite spies. 3 The king of Jericho sent word to Rahab to bring out the spies. 4 After hiding the two men, she claimed that though they came to her, she did not know where they went. 5 She told the king's men to chase after them quickly. . 6 She then hid them on the roof of the house under
stalks of flax. 7 So
the king's men pursued them. 9 She told the spies, she knew that the Lord hath given them the land, that all the inhabitants of the land were terrified of them. 10 Also how the Lord
dried up the water of the Red sea for them, when they came out of Egypt and utterly destroyed the Amorite kings before them. 11 And their hearts melted because of Israel, for their Lord God, He is God in heaven above, and on earth below. 12 She asked them to protect her family in return for her help. 14 And the men agreed. 15 Then she let them down by a rope through the window, for her house was on the town wall.. 16 And
she told them to hide in the mountain, for three days, until the pursuers returned. 17 And the men said to her, "We swear to save you if you bring your family into your house and hang this red scarf on your window". .19 "We are not to blame if your people go out of the house or if you tell of our agreement". 21 She agreed and sent them away, then bound the red scarf in the window.
When Moses died, God told Joshua, 2 “My servant Moses is dead. So you and all the Israelite people get ready to cross the Jordan to the land I am about to give them. 3 I will give you wherever you tread, as I promised Moses.4 Your land will be from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river Euphrates to the Mediterranean Sea in the west.5 All your life you will be unbeatable. I will be with you just as I was with Moses. I will never forsake you and will always be with you.6 Be strong and do not fear, because you will take these people to inherit the land I swore to their fathers to give them".
